On Sunday it started out cold so we headed to Cliff Hanger. The trail is on the north side of Kane Creek road just west of town past Moab Rim and Pritchert Canyon. The Cliff Hanger trail starts and so do the obstacles with three good obstacles in the first half of a mile.

You even enter on an obstacle.

Immediately get a second obstacle.

Here is the third obstacle the dry creek bed. I'm sure its not always dry.

You continue and wind through the countryside over numerous other obstacles.

To the obstacle that is the trails namesake Cliff Hanger.
At the end of the trail is an overlook that is a nice place to stop for lunch before you return the same way came.

Of course the first big obstacle on the return is Cliffhanger. The only vehicles to make it over the Cliff Hanger obstacle without a little tug where those with 35" tires (Gene and Larry). We completed the trail and the weekend with no damage and had a great time. The group consisted of Larry and Kathy (patrol 6), Jeff and Laura (patrol 12), Gene and Phyllis (Red Rock Wheelers) and Mark and Sherri (Patrol 6). This was a great group to run with and we hope to run the trails in Moab with you again in the spring.
The rest of the pictures follow the trail back out.

PS. Things look like they are changing in Moab. Hells Gate obstacle was marked closed on Hells Revenge so we were not able to run it. The Dump Bump was fenced off (this has been fenced for awhile). I have also heard that upper and lower Helldorado are now owned privately and closed. I hope this is not a trend I would hate to see more trails and obstacles closed.
